Unforgettable Netarhat Tour: Explore Lodh, Mirchayiya, Sugga Bandh, And Betla National Park

Students’ Educational Tour To Netarhat: Learning Beyond The Classroom Experience

At Sankalp Institute, we do not view education as being limited to regular classroom settings and curriculum-based work. We believe that true education occurs through various forms of experience and exposure. Therefore, we hold the view that education should also play a motivating and inspiring role in students’ lives. With this objective, we organized an educational and motivational day trip for our students to Netarhat, known as the Queen of Chotanagpur and the highest hill station in Jharkhand.

Why Netarhat?

Netarhat is one of the most beautiful hill stations in Jharkhand. It offers a tranquil environment surrounded by rich natural landscapes. Netarhat provides students with an opportunity to step outside their conventional day-to-day academic routine and experience a peaceful setting. This new experience allows students to take a break from their studies, reconnect with nature, and regain mental balance.

Learning Experiences Outside the Classroom

Although sightseeing was a part of this trip, it was primarily planned to promote well-rounded student development. Students participated in an environment that encouraged effective learning while being close to nature. The experience included:

1. A rejuvenating educational atmosphere close to nature
2. Strong bonds of fellowship and collaboration among students
3. Relief from academic stress
4. Renewed motivation for pursuing personal goals

Being together in new and unfamiliar places helped students realize the importance of discipline, cooperation, and shared responsibility—key foundations of success in both academics and life.

Beyond Netarhat: Betla National Park & Waterfalls Adventure

Students enjoyed an active, educational experience after their visit to Betla National Park and several waterfalls. As they toured Betla National Park, students were able to see animals in their natural habitat. This exposure helped them learn how ecosystems are formed and maintained, as well as the importance of conservation and teamwork within nature.

After Betla National Park, the group traveled to Mirchayiya Waterfall, where the setting provided both a relaxing place to unwind and inspiration for the students. Students took pictures and had a leisurely time together, creating fun and memorable learning experiences.

The group completed their trip by visiting Lodh Waterfall, one of the highest waterfalls in Jharkhand, and were amazed by its scenic beauty and surroundings. This trip provided students with a new appreciation for nature and a chance to reflect on their personal growth and environmental awareness.

The students explored Lodh Waterfall and then travelled to Sugga Bandh, a tranquil and scenic site surrounded by lush natural vegetation. After their long journey, Sugga Bandh provided a peaceful place for the students to relax and reflect. They observed the water structure and gained knowledge about how it supports water management and local irrigation. The experience at Sugga Bandh allowed students to reflect on their relationship with nature in a calm environment, engage in meaningful discussions, strengthen their bonds, and better understand how natural and man-made resources are interconnected.

At each location, students participated in group activities that helped them develop discipline, cooperation, and teamwork through shared experiences. This multi-destination excursion was a combination of fun, excitement, and hands-on learning, effectively reinforcing ideas that go beyond the classroom.

Overall, the experience of traveling to Netarhat, Betla National Park, and multiple waterfalls left students with many positive memories while gaining insight into educational experiences and enjoying a much-needed break from academics.

What Do Students Think About the Tour?

“I really liked Lodh Waterfall because it is surrounded by greenery. The water was very cold and fell from a great height. Although the pool was broken and I could not go inside completely, it was still my favorite spot. The visit to Upper Ghaghari was not worth it. Betla National Park, Suga Bandh, Mirchayiya Waterfall, and Netarhat were very enjoyable.”
— Shantanu Shukla

“The tour was organized by our coaching institute to see Netarhat and enjoy the sunrise and sunset. I also visited Suga Bandh, Mirchayiya Waterfall, Lodh Waterfall, Upper Ghaghari, and Betla National Park. I liked Suga Bandh, Lodh Waterfall, and Mirchayiya Waterfall the most.”
— Puja Kumari

“Upper Ghaghari was disappointing, and I do not recommend visiting it. I enjoyed Suga Bandh and Lodh Waterfall a lot. The sunrise at Netarhat was beautiful, but the sunset was not very special.”
— Surbhi Tiwari

“The trip was an incredible experience for my classmates, our instructor, and me. It felt like a safe journey with a well-organized itinerary but also had enough flexibility to have fun without much supervision. I appreciated that the instructor was very relaxed and allowed us the freedom to explore as we wanted. The places we went were Netarhat, Lodh Falls, Mirchaiya Falls, Sugga Bandh, Upper Ghaghri, and Betla National Park. I created many great memories and had a great time on this trip!”
— Muskan Kumari

“The magnificent beauty of Netarhat can barely be described or captured in words. The sight of the rising sun is spectacular, and it will remain in your hearts forever. The views from many spots throughout Netarhat, including Sugar Bandh and the numerous waterfalls, provide further magical experiences, making your time spent in Netarhat truly memorable.”
