You’re Cordially Invited: Saraswati Puja 2026
The Garhwa branch of Sankalp Institute invites all parents, students, teachers, and the surrounding community to join together and celebrate Saraswati Puja on 23rd January, 2026. The focus of the event is to pay reverence to Goddess Saraswati — who is regarded as the Goddess of Knowledge, Wisdom, and Learning — by performing puja with devotion and discipline under the guidance of the Sankalp Puja Samiti, as well as by following the rules and customs prescribed by the Hindu Scriptures. Your presence, prayers, and good wishes will contribute to the celebration and strengthen the spirit of a united, enlightened, and positive Sankalp Institute family. All are welcome to participate and help make this day a memorable experience for everyone.
Formation of Sankalp Puja Samiti
Sankalp Institute established a committee called the Sankalp Puja Samiti for Garhwa's offline branch that will help to ensure the success of the upcoming Saraswati Puja to take place on January 23, 2026. The committee was unanimously approved at the January 12, 2026, meeting, where individual members (Sadasya) and President (Adhyaksha) were chosen. Arun Kamlapuri has been elected the President; Puja Kumari Mehata has been named the Vice President (Upa Adhyaksha); and Surbhi Tiwari has been made the Treasurer (Kosh Adhyaksha). Other individuals who have been designated as committee members are Muskan Kumari, Muskan Thakur, Mahi Kumari, Riya Chaubey, Rahul Kumar, Shivam Raj, Vikash Yadav, Ravi Raushan Yadav, Shantanu Shukla, and Aayush Kumar. All committee members are tasked with implementing specific arrangements for the puja itself.
Significance of Goddess & Our Mission
Goddess Saraswati is the goddess of learning, knowledge, and the arts, so Saraswati Puja is an important festival in the educational traditions of India and is observed on the day of Saraswati Puja. The celebration has particular significance for students and teachers; it is believed that worshipping Saraswati on this day will encourage advancement in education, provide concentration and support great success.
The Sankalp Institute's mission is to support its students in preparing for and successfully completing their exams, while also supporting student development through the integration of cultural practices into the school environment and by upholding traditional values.
Puja Schedule & Significance
Saraswati Puja will commence on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the Garhwa (offline) branch of Sankalp Institute. The Garhwa (offline) branch is located at Kali Sthan, Chiniya More, Garhwa. The traditional rituals associated with Saraswati Puja will be followed. At this event, a statue of Goddess Saraswati will be installed, and a yajna (a homa, an offering) will be performed with the recitation of the Vedic verses, and a collective prayer and aarti (a ceremonial lighting) will occur as well. Thereafter, a havan (the sacred fire ritual) will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 8:00 AM, followed by the Saraswati Idol Visarjan at 4:00 PM. This will mark the formal end of the religious ceremonies. This auspicious event will help instill a sense of discipline, promote positive thinking, lead to a great aspiration for a better future for students and further promote the academic heritage and culture of Sankalp Institute.
Guidelines
All students and individuals who cause disturbances, engage in disruptive behavior, show indifference toward others or otherwise engage in unprofessional or inappropriate conduct during the puja may be subject to severe disciplinary penalties up to and including immediate removal from class/institution. All rules and penalties will be enforced within the authority of Sankalp Institute. Compliance with institutional discipline is required while attending pujas.
